Photographic memory for the playthrough

Recall — it watched the game, so it can remind later

Every few seconds while a game is in front (and only then), Nagato takes a screenshot, a local vision model reads it — caption, on-screen text, labels — and near-duplicates are thrown away. Nothing leaves the machine. The result: everything seen on screen becomes searchable.

✦ The screenshots below are real — captured during a Torment: Tides of Numenera playthrough with the prototype Recall feature. 445 captures total, 57 still on disk.

Privacy is a mechanism here, not a promise

🔒 Local vision only

Captioning/OCR runs on a local model (Ollama or LM Studio) on the GPU. Screenshots never touch a cloud API.

🙈 Private mode & exclusions

One toggle halts all capture globally; any app or game can be excluded permanently. Both are enforced in the capture pipeline, not the UI.

🧹 Retention & delete

Raw screenshots expire on a per-game schedule, and "delete all Recall for this game" really deletes — index and files.
